Sweetie, Dont let fear and uncertainity stop you from doing things and travelling. Pack you're bags and GO! Think of this what if I handnt come back to STU last fall?I would no have ave met Melissa, therefore I would not have met you. And that my friend is totally unthinkable and ahh!!! Being away from you guy's this summer was a toatl bitch, but we all survived. And we will always be here for you in some way, shape of form. Do the things you need/want to do in life. Remeember you only get to live this life once, dont leave it filled with regrets. Plus I am hoping to teach English in either China or South Korea!! We can be neighbor's!! *hugs*
Remember that you can do more than one thing with your life. I know it's (as silly as it is to say) difficult to realize this sometimes, but your life doesn't end when you're 28 or something. You'll have at least as much time to enjoy your schooling doing real things as you spent in the schooling, and likely longer as well.
Not surprisingly, I've felt the same way as you; no matter what I do I always see the things I'm giving up. And actually, this is very important! In Economics, that next-best-thing you're giving up is called "Opportunity Cost", and is a very real cost in anything you do. It shouldn't hold you back, of course, but if you actually consider it naturally, then you're ahead of the game.
Also, living not tied to Mom and Dad is nice, but don't be in too much of a rush to get there. And that promise I made wasn't just airy words; I really do intend to keep it if I can.
Lastly, and unrelatedly, you're looking like you could use a new icon.
