I believe so. It's not uncommon for someone to lose control of themselves for about a week after the chip has been removed.

The chip is actually a small technological device called a 'microchip.' It's placed in everyone's bodies by the scientists when they're brought to Discedo.

I assume it's main function is to suppress any inhuman or supernatural abilities, like my magic. It's also been recently proven to be protective against certain monsters, like the word-fish that can be found just outside the city's perimeter.

They can be removed but cause illness and other problems afterwords.

Unfortunately, we do not. In fact, finding the chip itself is through trial and error. In the past we've had to perform surgeries on volunteers to search for it. It's frustrating, but I'm glad the location hasn't changed recently.
