Kojuro is a very serious and relatively calm person, sometimes described by Masamune himself as being a stick in the mud. He concerns himself with the well being of the troops as well as Oshu, their home, while Masamune generally does not. Kojuro prefers to think things through, considering all possibilities and consequences, then presenting the information to Masamune. He does his best to keep Masamune thinking logically, though this doesn't always work due to Masamune's rather teenage-like personality. In the end, Kojuro always follows Masamune and is always by his side.
Kojuro, however, does not follow Masamune blindly. Kojuro chides Masamune for not always thinking things through and works his best to keep Masamune's fierce personality and rage in check. After their defeat against Mitsunari Ishida, Kojuro vowed to never allow Masamune to experience regret and even disobeyed Masamune once to stop him from doing something Kojuro knew he would regret. The defeat by Mitsunari holds heavily in his heart, blaming himself for the loss.
Kojuro is extremely protective of Masamune and the Date troops. Kojuro lives to keep Masamune, his honor, and his troops well and safe. When several of Masamune's retainers and his six swords were taken, Kojuro completely goes berserk to destroy the culprit and retrieve Masamune's treasures. In short, mess with Masamune, Kojuro will destroy you.
While Masamune is his lord, Kojuro and Masamune sometimes come across as siblings. The two are protective of one another and won't allow anything to happen to the other. When Masamune was thrown off a cliff, Kojuro dove after him to save him at any costs. When Kojuro attempted sepuku after defying Masamune's orders and dishonoring him, Masamune stops Kojuro and won't allow him to die. Despite injuries, Masamune also came to Kojuro's rescue when Kojuro went alone to retrieve Masamune's swords and retainers. They watch each others' backs in battle without question and rely on each others' strength. They also train together to improve one another's skills.
Despite is often polite speech, Kojuro also has somewhat of a sharp tongue. He insults the opposition when he believes they are not worthy of Masamune's time, often right in front of the opposition. He disrespects the opposition but holds allies in high regard (Yukimura and Sasuke seem to be the only exception, most likely due to Masamune's rivalry with Yukimura). Kojuro's sense of humor is rather poor but his sarcastic wit makes up for that. He also has a low level of patience for anyone other than Masamune. He sometimes refers to his patience sometimes as threads which snap when he loses patience for someone.
Kojuro's stance is strong and confident yet it doesn't go without humility. He bows with respect towards his lord and follows slightly behind him to the right (though in battle, he may shift to the left side due to being left-handed). While he can kneel and stay still, he has a tendency to shift his weight between his feet while standing.
During down time, when not serving by Masamune's side, Kojuro spends his time helping the people of Oshu. He can be rather personable and respectful.
[orientation] unknown

original appearance[wish] To never let Masamune have any more regrets
[requested house] Nadeshiko House. Kojuro is rather traditional samurai. (Tsuyosa would also work very well, as he is highly athletic)
[misc notes] Like Masamune, Kojuro can use lightning in battle. The limits of this power aren't clearly defined. Kojuro is also highly skilled using a katana-wakizashi pair and fights left-handed (he probably writes left-handed, as well). Masamune claims there are few who can match Kojuro's skill.
SAMPLES
[sample 1#] (prose log)
Kojuro stared at the large glass-housed marketplace. The more he’d seen the place, the more he felt as though he’d been pulled into some freakish foreign world way beyond the reaches of the seas (though there were moments when Kojuro felt as though he were still back in Oshu). He lifted his hand to rest it on the hilt of his swords only to remind himself they were missing. He felt almost naked without them. He’d carried them constantly at his side since even before he joined his lord’s side, but now they were gone, probably to never be returned. While he felt empty without his, Kojuro could only imagine how his lord Masamune felt. His six swords were one of his precious treasures. Kojuro recalled his quest to retrieve them from that villainous lord who stole them and kidnapped some of Masamune’s retainers 10 years ago. It was quite the quest, one which Kojuro learned how important he was to Masamune and how his lord would not allow him to die. In the end it served to strengthen their bonds though the duration of the ordeal was rather stressful.
He felt as if he’d lost his own honor, allowing them to be stolen again with no means of retrieving them for his lord. All he could do now was to serve out his term of servitude to earn his freedom and buy his lord’s freedom as well, if the situation came to it (and hopefully keep some honor and dignity in the process). At the very least, Kojuro wanted to be absolutely certain Masamune kept himself out of trouble and didn’t let his short temper get the better of him. The so-called ladies did have a tendency to turn a wooden spoon on anyone. Kojuro seethed for a moment, thinking of them beating his lord in an undignified manner, but reminded himself that anger would get him nowhere in this world. His patience was wearing thin for this world but he still had a few threads which hadn’t snapped quite yet.
Kojuro glanced down at the list scrawled on a now-crumpled piece of paper. His lady had sent him on an errand to buy some items from the marketplace. It was good to be out of the house for a while, perhaps buy a few vegetables for himself and something for Masamune as well with the meager funds he had left over. His lady was nothing like Lord Masamune, which was both good and horribly bad at the same time. She was responsible and proper, stiff as a board, and held no camaraderie towards her employees, servants, and the like. Kojuro had joined the ranks of not respecting her yet following all her orders as was the wiser choice in the matter. Kojuro felt completely opposite with her as he did with Masamune, a lord who had the wholehearted respect of his army and people. He dearly missed serving alongside his lord, even with all of Masamune’s antics.
He straightened out his yukata, looking proper and crisp as ever, then tucked the list back into the front of the garment, securing it by slightly tucking it behind the sash, and headed into the strange marketplace.

[ Kojuro appears on the screen. His hair is well kept, his yukata straight and proper. He’d read the instructions on how to use the device yet how it actually worked he didn’t know, just that it did and it was a means to communicate with others. There is slight concern on his face, though some may not be able to pick this up as Kojuro’s expressions are often rather subtle. ]
So far my stay here has been somewhat pleasant. This new land in the country is rather unusual. So far, no one has been able to clearly indicate where in the country Ukiyo is located. It holds many similarities to Oshu and other reaches of the country, yet at times it is very different.
I have heard that Lord Masamune may be here as well yet so far, I have been unable to locate his whereabouts. I do hope my lord has not found himself in trouble.
[ Kojuro frowns slightly as he thinks of the way his lord could easily find himself in trouble then turns off the device. ]
