[She sounds extremely professional at this point, very calm and sure of herself.]

As I already spend all of my free time in the library, I'd like to extend the offer to tutor anyone who goes to school and would like the extra help. It's no trouble at all to me and I actually enjoy it. I'm used to doing that sort of thing back home. All you need to ( Read more... )

hermione's knowledge saves lives, tutoring is my game, the insufferable know-it-all, because i'm brilliant that's why

[Wesley is putting about the library as well, as he often does. She's free to notice him as the person making a sort of nest in one corner out of obscure academia and ancient literature, which seems to grow around him as he jots down notes on a piece of paper ripped clean out of the journal that's covered with tiny notes.]

[She glances over as she walks by with a rather large book of the same sort he's looking at, heading for her own corner.]

You look like a person after my own wand.

[Wesley blinks up, startled at first, and then smiles at the girl carrying the big book.]

Thank you. I think. I've not heard that phrase before.

It was meant as a compliment. [She smiles and indicates the reference book she's carrying.] Reading such things like this is fascinating to me.

Buffy! It would seem I am. How have you been? I haven't heard from you in a while.

Oh, you know. Been around. How'd you feel about your very first experiment from Hell?

It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, but... [It couldn't have come at a worse time.] I lived through it.

How did you fare with this one? I hope it didn't do anything horrible to you.

What a kind offer! If I need any help catching up after missing a few days of class, I will definitely remember that you'd be willing to help.

I'm sure I'll need it at some point. My formal education is lacking sadly, so there may be things I need to fill in or things that it seemed I knew and I really did not.

It's nothing unusual for me, so it feels more natural to be doing something like this than nothing at all.

My education was exactly like what they are teaching until I turned eleven but I still recall everything.

Of course, if you'd like to meet outside tutoring, I wouldn't mind that, either. [This having friends other than Harry and Ron... what is it?]

So I take it this means I'd better enroll in that school.

Only if you really want to, but you'll be hearing about it at home.

You're going to want me there at some point, I can tell.

[You know her too well, Harry.] I think it would be good for you.

Are you the librarian here?

No, I just really enjoy libraries.

I see.

Are you familiar with where things are in this library? I'm looking for something about the spirits here.

If you'd like to pay a visit to the library, I can tell you what I know already and I might be able to show you where those books might be.
