Hey I just dropped in on you after you did so kindly to me!
I love the report, with smiley photos at the end!
And such a great medal and shirt!
Best of luck for the next one...which is?

I'm doing a couple shorter races to encourage my friends to get into running. I'm excited about the Lilac 10k because it's during the peak of lilac season through a park with over 150 varieties of Lilacs. And I'm also excited that I found a 5k to run on my birthday.
I hope my next half or full will be in the fall :)

I am stalking your journal from the Runners community because you're from ROC, too! I love this report, and am so psyched to run this race next year. Is it May yet? (Though it is good I have all winter to train as I just ran my first 5k race yesterday!)

I'm adding you as a friend, if that's okay.

I friended you back. I don't write too much in my journal. mostly whining about grad school :p
I am also really excited to run the rochester flower city half again. It was a great course...and obviously it was awesome becasue it was my first half!
YOu should look into running with the fleet feet program. They have a distance training program (which costs $$) that aligns perfectly for prepping for that race. But you don't necessarily have to pay unless you want the entire program prep, workshops, extra group runs, etc. You can just show up on Saturday's (and even Tuesday hills and Friday happy hour) and run with a bunch of fun people for free.

I am planning on doing the Fleet Feet training. I e-mailed them about it today. I think it starts in January.
