Hah hoo hah...

Intelligent thought of: my, Scott's looking fiiiiine at the beginning of this episode.

While their meeting scene was absolutely rubbish, I quite like Ms Blake, and Derek with Ms Blake, and I don't care who knows it.

Yesssss. I knew Derek had booklearning.

Sassy trying-to-be-funny Scott is one of my favourite Scotts. And this scene is just as good in the show as it was as a sneak peek. Stiles is bisexual. goddammit.

The bro-triangle of paaaain :(

This scene. With the fighting. In slo-mo.

Gideon Emery is awesome.

Eaddy! <3333

Harris! I never thought I'd be happy to see the asshole, but I weirdly am.

I don't get these twins. Except that they're probably framing Isaac.

Yep. That was still REALLY strange, though. Why not actually fight?

Seriously. Isaac really does want to sex everyone up, doesn't he?

What's the logic of that? Of Derek wanting to kill more of his pack once he's killed one of them?

BOYD IS MY FAVOURITE, OKAY?

:((((( Noooo. I refuse to believe that Erica is dead. REFUSE.

Daniel really can't keep up an American accent, can he?

Lydia and Stiles have awesome chemistry now that he's not fawning all over her.

Awww, Stiles.

For Alphas, these guys are so juvenile. So, so juvenile.

Ooooh. There is some logic to it. Okay. That makes it marginally better.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA OOOOOOKAY THEN, demon wolf. Okay.

Heeeey, it's the chanting from the trailers.

Lydia was Stiles' first call. Huh. * ETA: I meant that the other way around, obviously. Brain. dead.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAH OOOOKAY THEN. Badvertising at its finest.

Oh, no! Not Harris!

I like the WTF of Scott's expression here. We wonder the same thing, bb.

DEREK, YOU ARE THE WORST. USE YOUR FUCKING WORDS. YOU TOOL. YOU TOOLIEST OF TOOLS.

So many Scott/Isaac fics.

Oh wow. Goodbye, Harris.

ETA: I really want to ramble about Derek for a while, because, ugh, this episode was so my headcanon Derek come to full realisation. The one who's actually kinda smart in some ways and THE STUPIDEST in others. Who isn't, actually, morally grey --- he doesn't want to kill, has never wanted any of this, was probably once an ignorant little wolfling who was learning how to control his transformation, but had never really been given the time to learn how to control his feelings. The self-sacrificing Derek, who thinks that it's better to push someone away rather than risk having them think you're worth any potential pain. This is Derek the Shakespearean, tragic hero - he has one fatal flaw (and dozens of others that merely wound) - and that's his self-hatred.

And he wants --- I think it's clear with his reaching out to Jennifer --- he actually wants to be able to live again, to learn how to be with others again, to find a way to cling onto something other than ill-advised arrogance and a surge of power, but he doesn't think that's possible. Perhaps it's not, right now. Not with Deucalion. But one day?
