Easter weekend with a Spanish Starfish (fri)

 Friday

The morning started with a very grey cloud threatening to ruin the day ahead. We had brekkie in the hotel dining room and headed ot for a drive. We went all through the New Forest, taking in the tranquil countryside, enjoying the peace of the forest. We saw these beautiful wild horses grazing by the side of the road - New Forest is known for it's herds of wild horses that have lived there for years and years and years and... oh you get it by now!
I don't think he even realises, but it's the small things Ditto does that make me smile and feel all loved up. Like the way he looks at me when he's driving and I'm staring out of the window. He just glances at me and smiles. I can always feel it and turn round to see him give me that loving look with his eyes. The one that makes me feel warm in my chest and jumpy in my stomach. We parked up to go and grab some lunch. In between the cold showers, the sun tried and repeatedly failed to break through and heat up the day but that didn't matter because Ditto kept me warm :)
He kept taking my hand and holding me close as we walked through the wet streets to a wee little cafe where we ended up eating pasties and drinking coffee for lunch. All sweet and romantic the adventure was, we were only out for four or five hours. We went for a swim in the hotel pool for a while once we'd made our way back to our temporary home. The water was soooo warm! The temperature in the pool was as hot as the hot tub normally is when i go to the gym! (Okay, bear in mind the pool and hot tub down the gym are absolutely freezing compared to normal establishments) We splashed around pushing each other, dunking and playing around. It's great to have a laugh and take the mick out of each other sometimes. I hate it when you come across people that just don't know how to let loose and relax! I mean, why not just make a fool of yourself and laugh about life?! Thank god ditto isn't a serious old fart haha! He's older okay, but that doesn't mean he acts like an old man - he's only 29 and if men really do act a few years younger than their age and women act a few years older than their age, then we should be a perfect match!
Ditto told me he's never met anyone that faffs around as much as me...haha! It's a good title and one I'm proud of. He only said it as a joke because after our swim, i felt I had to shower again and wash my hair for the second time that day. This also led to me using the hair dryer, getting the straighteners out and re-doing my make up. After all this was done, I was yet to find something good enough to wear for dinner!
It's okay though, I think i moved quick enough. It's not like I took three hours getting ready or anything (^_^)
We roamed around once it got later in the evening and found this little Indian restaurant to go and grab some dinner in.
Food was good, beer was good, and company was fantastic. As always.
There was this kooky owner waiting on tables that night. It was only him working because we had gone there quite late and he'd already gone through the mass dinner rush. As we were chatting amongst ourselves, we could hear him babbling away to another couple there on a date. Rambling on and on about where this couple had come from, where he lived in Bournemouth and random stuff he'd heard in the news recently. We had to stifle our giggles when he came to give us our starters and then chose to unleash his life story on us! Through out our meal, he's raise conversational topics like how his nephew dresses like he's from the "African Jungle" with his baggy jeans, backwards baseball caps and such. Or he'd talk about places he'd been to in London and what his upbringing was like in London before he moved away from home and settled by the coast... Ditto would glance at me sometimes, and I was really struggling not to laugh! All I wanted to do was wat my food, avoid awkward conversation with someone I didn't know and flirt outrageously with Ditto haha!
It was alright though, because by the time we'd finished munching down our very tasty dinner, we were both growing to like this funny old guy... His accent and little anecdotes were actually quite funny and upon leaving we agreed that we HAD to go back to eat there and see him on our next visit to Bournemouth (^_^) bless that funny little codger!
