Support our troops, the Republicans say. If you're not with the war, you're not with the troops. The armed forces is something that one may not question without having one's patriotism questioned in turn. Do you want the terrorists to win

I'm not quite sure why being against the way and for the troops is difficult, even if you know someone actually in the war. I will admit none of my close personal friends are in Iraq or Afghanistan, but I have too many friend of a friend stories to not be affected

You know, this morning I had a feeling you would come in and reply. =) I was merely trying to state oversimplified perceptions, and talk about how I've never really thought out how I personally felt about the military. I must admit, I wasn't feeling very logical when I wrote this entry.
