Echoing all of that! palfrey March 6 2020, 23:44:56 UTC
So M is a little over 1 year old now, and yeah, echoing all of that. Slightly different setup, but having just started a new job about 3 weeks ago, facing new challenges is a thing. He didn't raise his head properly until 6 months old though (a week after the pediatrician appointment where they were worried about that, which is a pattern of his...). Before I wasn't partying as much as I used to, but I was probably out and about half the evenings of the week. Now, it's more like once every few weeks (excepting a RPG session over Discord once a week after he's gone to sleep), and life is very different. He'll be going to nursery starting next week (just short taster sessions first, then properly two weeks after that), which will be another jump.

Life continues to change!

The smiling really does make a huge difference.

And I'm glad she enjoys babbling and giggling with you, even if she won't sleep on you any more.

When people tell you it goes quickly, believe them, even though the first bit takes subjectively forever. They’re 23 and 19.

Ah congrats. Have you had her sleeping in your room with a cold yet? You spent all night alternating between
"Please stop snuffling and be quiet. Let me sleeeeeep!"
"Oh god: she's stopped breathing!"
