So I FINALLY figured out what it is that I don't like about Melty Blood, and it only took me like a year. And that's because it's a button masher =/ Kinda rare in a 2D fighter, but it is considering that you can chain combos using any formula (ex: LP -> HP -> MP etc etc) or mash light a million times (But I guess you could do at least that in GGXX

Maybe you would, many Melty Blood players were drawn in because of Tsukihime, but I'm not one of them. (Rather, I'm into Tsukihime because of Melty Blood. It was my first TYPE-MOON game.)
My reason for liking the game is probably the same reason you don't like it. It's incredibly easy to pick up. It's extremely noob-friendly (Especially the PS2 version with it's parry-holding.)
It's pretty popular, even on SRK. I just wish it was in more arcades.
