Hey all you internet savvy peeps...

So, I have completely had it with Comcast's crappy service in our area.  AT&T now has service available in LaVergne and I'm thinking about their DSL service.  Anyone have it or had it??  What say you??

I have DSL with BellSouth and have had for a long time. No real problems. They just tack the $$ on to my land line.

I hear it's pretty good - though I don't know how it is in your area. Check the speed available for your usage.

Paul and I game - so we had to go with Comcast - they provided nearly 5 times the speed of AT&T for a fraction of the cost. Otherwise we would have gone with the latter.

Cost has changed and speed has increased...it's now competitive.

I've had to call Comcast 4 times in the past seven years. I've learned that if a Hindi voice answers...hang up and call back. The service has been pretty decent once you get someone from this country on the phone.

If you are lucky enough to have the speed you are supposed to have with Comcast internet...then I'm glad for you...but we don't. And we have talked to dozens of people at Comcast. All of them in the US. None of them have been able to help us and most of them of those in the call center) are rude. The tech guys are great...but they still can't fix the problem as it's a greater issue with Comcast's lines in our area.
