The Maxwell House Coffee lady was Margaret Hamilton ... who was also the Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz."

(I am also beyond geekishly pleased at some of the music business icons on my FB ... so I complete understand about that.)

Weird, I grew up being told that it was my cousin Georgi. Maybe there were two of them, or I'm thinking of the wrong coffee.

It could be that you're thinking of the wrong coffee, as there was also a Folgers lady.

You're right, I think it was Yuban. The woman on the can looks a lot more like Georgi.
