Ahh, I had almost forgotten...our society must soon prepare for the switch to "Daylight Spending Time" aka EST. Actually, one could easily argue that time is not really saved or spent, a misnomer of huge proportions. I remember when the switch to Daylight Savings Time first occurred, and the farmers correctly pointed out that no one had been very successful at convincing their farm animals that they should delay their hunger in the morning by an hour simply because humans were resetting their clocks back the night before. HHmmm. Let's see. If we form an ecovillage that believes, (among many other things), that the concept of time measurement is more of an artifact of lifestyle than it is a real entity, could we call ourselves, "The Timeless Society?". Actually, I kind of like that thought

I can't believe I didn't see the analogy when I wrote my first comment -- the story of the tribe mentions that they could not stomach the thought of working for an entire day; this partly has to do with allocation of time, but also speaks to their lack of desire to store food. They didn't see the value of doing that, because food was not hard for them to find. Would such a society be less greedy because greed doesn't help them survive
