We're keeping an eyeball on things, and will leave if/when we have to. We'll see if Katrina's our Big One. She may at least inspire Category 6. Will report in afterwards, when we can. Love you all^^

Hey, drop me an email when you can, okay? Getting worried about you. **hugs** (wikdsushi @ gmail is fine--I check that one at work.)

I'm one of her buddies from the minkland group, Jo. I've been searching the Katrina Victims lists pretty much since Tuesday trying to find her, I found her last night not long after she was finally entered into a shelter database with her dad and bro. there's more information about it here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/ladymako71/181604.html

If you could post it on your lj so friends of Lacey on LJ who don't know minkland can see that she's okay, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks! Luv Jo

Thank you so much! Do you know if there's any way to get in touch with her yet?

sorry for replying to this so late...I work nights and sleep during the day.

I lucked out honestly getting a hold of her brother. The number it showed for contact info for them is the shelter that her dad and bro are at. I called and the lady on the other end was 'uh...' you could hear the 'you've gotta be kidding me right?' in her voice. When I said her name though the lady told me that her brother was right there, still filling out information and handed me over to him.

I gave him my cel number for Lacey and when/if she calls me I'll know more about how to contact her. safest bet though would be when she gets to her Uncle's place. Another mate of mine in Baton Rouge says that with the exception of storm displaced, Baton Rouge is pretty much back to normal.
