Be gentle with yourself - you and your family are undergoing a huge transition. There's the excitement of living in a different society/culture and then there is the missing the old and familiar. Take it one day at a time.... (((hugs)))

You're going through such a huge transition - it'll smooth out. I can't imagine living without my "stuff" - particularly my art stuff!! Do you have decent a decent internet connection? I am up for chatting - just let me know who to sign up with.

And I'm always up for back and forth emails - iconolatrie (at) yahoo (dot) com

About four years ago before we moved to Arizona, I lived for four months without my stuff. I slept on a sleeping bag on the floor. What I'm saying is I feel your pain. It was difficult with almost no furniture and living out of our suitcases. I did some crying. I did a lot of crying.

It's okay to feel out of sorts while you adjust to your new life. Maybe you should hide in the covers a bit.

And remember this: I'd be so psyched to have a maid. When you get really down, try to think of what you do have, like her. :-)

xoxo!

Glad to hear that you have a friendly neighbor - that's a very good thing. I'd like to send you a card or something. Can I have your address? :) donia AT eleven29 DOT com

yes, the friendly neighbor has been a godsend for sure!

you are so sweet! you know one of the things i miss most is the daily mail. the postal system is very unreliable here so no one uses it. i get mail once a week delivered via john's office. it's going to take some getting used to!

i'm going to email you a link to a blog we've been doing about egypt... in one of the sidebars is our CIMS address at daimlerchrysler...

and thank you so much... so very, very much
