So, a couple months back, Jason from RUF catches me in the cafeteria and tells me that the church is thinking about disciplining me. Sounds pretty reasonable to me, considering I haven't been attending church regularly for about a year and I don't think I believe anymore

Luke, I'm not sure if Im really the person to say anything about this, or even if I have anything relevant. But, I'm sorry. I know religion is a big part of your life and even if you dont believe anymore it leaves a mark. This church was family in some sense, I dont know how youre taking it, but I hope youre ok and I hope you know that being kicked out of a church does not kick you out of THE church, as in the people of God. If you believe you havent lost him. And to my understanding if you dont believe you still havent "lost" him. Just the way.

I dunno if I believe either. So youre not alone there.

    Wait. So your church accuses you of things you didn't do, your pastor says you've got some good points about the bible but that doesn't matter and you should stay away from the church, and then in a weird basement meeting the church officials kick you out? And they have the stones to tell you to not abandon your faith
