i have lost 1/4 of my wisdom
so i went and had one of my wisdom teeth removed today. up until then, i had all 4. i am not nearly as wise as i once was. -
me => 1/2 marathon, mississippi chad
hey all. i got up early this morning and went with bojolais to run in the Thunder Road 1/2 Marathon. it was 19 degrees, there was ice on the road, it was wonderful. i ran the 13.1 miles in 2:24:55. this was the longest run i had ever done by more than 5 miles.

had a great time seeing everyone yesterday. it had been far too long since i had seen cindy and gabriel. also got to see mike, annie, beth, and madeline. we had a wonderful time, and hope to do it again soon. -
race this weekend
ran in the hopebuilder 5k yesterday. finished in 30:52, which is better than the time i got last weekend. i finished 242 out of 359 (132/179 for my gender). the overall winner finished in 16:01 which means he ran three 5:10 miles back to back. i don't know about you, but i don't think i could ever run a 5:10 mile. there was a guy pushing a ( Read more... ) -
new job started today
so today i started my new job at TransAmerica. i love that it is only four blocks from my house. it looks like it will be very interesting. i am back to doing coding again. i am implementing business objects in c# for use with a financial framework and business rule package they are using. back to working with Oracle again too. i already miss ( Read more... ) -
race this weekend
so i ran a 5k this weekend. first race i have run since 2003. finished that one in 35:03 and this one in 32:27. i didn't run in the competitive race this time, just the fun run/walk. for some perspective, the winner ran in 17:16 (18:43 in my age group) and i would have finished 613th out of 750. i have another race next weekend that i will be ( Read more... )
