Chapter 3: Veld/Kadaj -- trouble in the city

Veld is in the middle of the structure. The lettering on the floor is confusing, written in decorative tendrils that spiraled the floor. "Resting till the final battle" is what the floor seems to read. He walks the letters slowly, trying to figure out any other meanings. However, in that moment he could hear a rustling that didn't exactly fit with his surroundings. His reflexes are dulled with age and Veld falls to the side as Kadaj's strike nearly misses him. Instead, the Remnant's blade pins the old Turk to the floor by his jacket. The sword penetrated the heart of the structure and then, suddenly, the entire thing begins to crumble. No amount of clamoring is going to save either of them and they both fall. Sliding along the walls saves either of them broken bones, but Veld will have no way out of this hole on his own power. For now, they're both trapped.
