Who: Elena, Sephiroth, Vega, Kira, & the Remnants
When:A day after Sephiroth trains with Vega
Location: Mines, North Corel
Rating: PG-13 (possibly worse with language?)
Summary: The people of Corel are ripe for the picking, so Sephiroth and his entourage intend to start collecting some additional recruits for their purpose. And what better way to start the collection than to create a force field around the town to encourage their allegiance?
They were all together now, main core of their little team. The Remnants who heard the call had finally arrived, making their presence known during a sparring session between Sephiroth and Vega. Of course, it took a little explaining all around to bring them up to speed and convince them that neither she nor Vega or Kira were threats. That had been an interesting little conversation, to say the least. The lack of trust hate between herself and Yazoo was as obvious as her ‘stigma-esque marks, but a single word from Sephiroth snuffed the hostility and silenced them both. Before a battle broke out they parted ways and avoided each other for the remainder of the day and night.
The next morning had come rather quickly and Elena took a brief patrol outside to clear her head and help alleviate her nausea. Her illness hadn’t gotten any better and the black inky stains hadn’t faded either, but that wouldn’t be enough to keep her from moving around or being useful. Vega had been a welcome source of comfort, letting Elena talk and vent. It was amazing how much it actually helped to have somebody there and listen without judging. And it helped Elena focus her frustration and anger, honing it to a ball of energy to power each achy step. But exhaustion came quicker, forcing her to stop and rest against a decayed, rotted tree.
Damn you, Sephiroth.
