Summary: The nerd duo begin work on a housekeeping project, a containment field for Sephiroth's psychic abilities, before they head off to Costa for the investigation. Fuhito also gets caught up on current events, because he was dead for oh... the whole original game and then some.
Fuhito had practically finished his assimilation into the holy ShinRa nation. Gone were his AVALANCHE fatigues and they were replaced by ShinRa khakis and ShinRa polos. He was even better to blend in the crowd of nameless ShinRa rats, those had somehow survived the first sinking of this ship. Fuhito, Former AVALANCHE Elite, was a normal person now.
It didn't feel natural.
Years he had cried "Down with the ShinRa!" only to have the coat of arms pinned to his chest. Funny the way the world worked sometimes... No theories, no delicate equations could define it.
However, he did like the lab coat. If he had to be forced to work for Shinra, why not the Science department? The lab had some of the best security, and therefore, a higher security clearance. ShinRa's tombs were within its easiest reach for him.
Today was the day that the build was supposed to begin of the containment field. Fuhito looked through Laylee's work on the device's theoretics and compared them with his own notes. He made a quick correction to his plans on the prototype with a pen.
The build room was... down this hall? Yes. This hall. He pushed the door open and found a empty place to set his notes. Where were those supplies again?
