Human logic very rarely dictates action in the DWP, especially where cuts and reshuffles are involved. Our original reshuffle from The Pension Service to Jobcentre Plus was allegedly because of the "benefit of processing experience that we would bring" - and this week they've removed even the minor processing (of changes to payment and address) that we were doing, leaving us solely as answer machines, whipping posts and gophers.
