The "OMG Twix" Test

Feb 25, 2011 12:39

The Twix has changed. I think we can all agree on that; they just don't taste like they used to, and now they're just slightly unpleasant, yet indefinably so. However, they taste better when chilled, so at least that mitigates it a bit.

madameperdita loves her Star Bars, and has been known to ruthlessly pillage vending machines that happen to contain them. ( Read more... )

Hold on, you like Hershey's chocolate and hate ketchup. Is there no end to your wrongness?

I like it because it's different, but to be fair it's the centre of the bar that's most important to me.

With regard to ketchup it remains SATAN'S FOUL LURID RED SUGARY JISM. And that shall never change.

I concur with Arwel on both counts

(ps Hershey's tastes like waxy vomit)

I love Hershey's Peanut Butter Cups. Those 5th Avenue ones look yummy though, like Lion bars used to be but without the rice crispie bits.

There's no caramel, just chunky solidified peanut butter, so quite unlike Lion Bars. But they are quite like a bar version of the Cups, so I bet you'd love it.

The only "chocolate" worse than Hershey's is that cheap shit you get in advent calendars and the like. Cadbury's is marginally better that that foreign muck, but, honestly, if it's got milk in it and less than 70% cocoa solids, it isn't chocolate.

Try the Manchester Uni student union shop, they used to have Hersheys. Also Fenwicks up here has a lot of the things Cybercandy have.

I have seen various kinds of Hersheys bars in a number of places. I swear that Haqs supermarket in BD7 used to sell some Hersheys stuff. There is also a traditional sweet shop in Bedford that sells it. So you may find it if you look around.

Which in no way means that I approve of such activities, I should point out. The chocolate they use tastes of sick and that's just not right.

It's wierd, I don't really favour any chocolate bar, I prefer my chocolate pure and unadulterated or wrapped around a boozy truffle. Mmm mmm. Or spilling out in a hot cumy mess from a chocolate pudding. I'm really making myself a bit hungry now.
