Okay, for the entry I was going to type up last night (okay, a couple hours ago), but decided to wait on. I've finally read enough and decided what the hell, I'll add my two cents on the topic since I can. Be warned though, it's 8:00 in the morning and aside from the few cases I've read about and kept up with in the news, I haven't researched this ( Read more... )

Hi - I noticed your entry on one of my community friends' page, and I just had to comment.

Great entry, I couldn't agree more! The term hate crime is redundant, and never used except in crimes again minorities, who are equally as able to be racist people. I wonder if the media made up the term "hate crime"... Just another way they sometimes do more harm than good.

I hope you helped open the eyes of that girl on the issue.

That would be interesting to look at - the history of the term "hate crime". I'm bored enough, I might start checking that out. That poor girl would probably argue 'till she's blue in the face that minorities are incapable of being racist, and any other time I might have some fun with it, but three hours sleep kills my nerves, lol. Who knows though, maybe some truth did sink in?

You're going to Auburn? That's cool. Though one time I remember Auburn and LSU playing a football game and I had my lucky stuffed tiger out. I said it was a lucky Auburn tiger just to piss my dad off...heh, shouldn't have done that. Seems that tiger really is lucky and Auburn won. Thought my dad was going to throw him.

Thanks for your comment, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who feels the same way. And sorry for the random childhood story lol.

i just came across your journal, and i find it very intersting. i completely agree with everything you said in this entry. it's so hard to find someone that has the same beliefs and isn't afraid to openly discuss/debate them without getting mad or acting childish ( ... )
