'House of Flying Daggers' didn't really work for me. ( why not??? you ask... )

unfortunately i was too tired to watch 2046 properly (and in fact slept through most of it), but i would like to give it another try some day. indeed the android scenes were marvellous! and the pace and intensity of the acting were superb... i just hope that one day i can survive the pace and stay awake. i'm nervous that it may be too close to the original solaris in pace for me to cope with though!

disagree about HoFD, i think the romance worked very powerfully, and the lush environments heightened the dramatic scenes. also the sound quality in the cinema was stunning (maybe even a little too loud!), and i found that i could at least follow the story a little better than hero where i lost track of it totally.

I'm probably open to persausion about HoFD. It might be one that has to be seen more than once.

If you do want to see 2046 again sometime, ket me know, I would like to come along. It is 'multi-textured' and needs a repeat viewing.

Thanks for your set at the Calling btw.

glad you caught my set. please feel free to leave candid feedback, it will be appreciated as in general people don't tend to give feedback. it would be interesting to see if my perception of how it went bears any relation to anyone in the audience! you should be honest and i'm not fishing for compliments.
