my first week in the field...
its exhausting being out in the sun all day! i was out in the field wed-friday of this week because we were running tubing on two of our wells... it was neat to be out there and learn about the operations and get to see them first hand.. but 16 hour days in the sun... starting at 630am, its exhausting... i feel like i still havent been able to ( Read more... ) -

so ive had my first weekend in Houston and its been quite eventful... saturday i layed out in the backyard by the pool for a while and then went to the grocery store and unpacked some more ( Read more... ) -

i got here yesterday... unpacked my car and then went to hang out with Kroger, Matt, Cade, Jordan, Cades brother and his girlfriend and Cades cousin... i went and picked up Kroger and we met up at Cades ( he is staying the same place as last summer) and then i drove everyone to the bar because the cab was taking too long to get there... we went to ( Read more... ) -

im back from Europe, and i kept a daily journal of what we did each day while i was there... so im postdating the actual entries so they are on the right day and i will type them up over the next week or so... but they start May 26th if anyone is interested...

Austria - Day 8
another bad breakfast followed by a train ride down the mountain to our bus where we then drove to Leichtenstein and i thought of Heath Ledger (a knights tale). we werent there too long, long enough to eat and hang out for a bit then we were back on the rode... the ruling family in Leichtenstein is the Adams family and they have a palace ( Read more... ) -
Swiss Alps - Day 7
We got to sleep in this morning, hotel breakfast was horrible, so once we rode down the cable car into town we found an outdoor cafe along side an extension of lake lucerne. it was a really nice view. Then we walked to the Musegg Wall and climbed up 7 or more flights of very narrow stairs to get to the top of one of the towers but the view was ( Read more... ) -
Swiss Alps - Day 6
most of today was traveling, left at 730 am and wont get to the alps til 3 pm. breakfast at hotel is best yet, scrambled eggs and toast and coffee... our trip theme song is "Black and Gold" by Sam Sparrow (its on the top of the Euro charts), we will play it on the bus every morning. Germany - Day 5
Got up early to shower because our bathroom lights broken so had to shower with door open with no shower curtain, i guess getting me ready for the beaches in the French Riviera... then only had coffee for breakfast (i was too tired to eat) slept most of the bus trip to Germany. Amsterdam - Day 4
the hotel breakfast was not very good... i ended up just eating a piece of bread and drinking coffee... then we went to Edam for a bikeride through the country which was a blast. after that we went to a cheese and clog makers shop, which was fun. i got katherine some cheese and myself some glass clogs for display that are really cute. then we went ( Read more... )
