The Wedding of River Song
LOLWHAT? Doctor Who? The oldest question, "THE question" is Doctor Who? Clearly, this is a mistake because everyone knows the answer to "THE QUESTION" is 42.
I liked the episode, I think? I dunno. It was very entertaining. Plus, I liked Eleven all the way through and that has not been a given this season (Day of the Moon, I am looking at you!).
The weird timeless universe was kind of hilarious. And it's quite lucky for the Doctor that he never meets the post-WW2 Churchill in all his drunk and insulting glory.
And awww, the Brigadier is dead? Just because the actor dies does not mean you have to kill him! I did really like that he was mentioned though. And the Rose mention was appreciated too.
I don't get why the Doctor married River. He needed her to look into his eyes so he decided to MARRY HER? That makes no sense. But well, I guess "look into my eyes" wouldn't work because... ehm... yeah, I don't know why.
Also, Amy's face when she realized she was the Doctor's mother-in-law was priceless. I also loved her drawing of Rory. And that she was finally feeling angry about losing her daughter in the parallel timeless-universe - yay!
And I have no problem with how they saved the Doctor's life. Time was not rewritten so I am happy.
Merlin 4x01
That was kind of amazing. The friendship between Lancelot and Merlin is still brilliant, as is the friendship between Merlin and Arthur, of course.
The Uther/Arthur scene was lovely, as were the Gaius/Merlin ones, and Arthur/Gwen were adorable, as usual <3
And well... I just generally really liked it. It was funny and touching and kinda scary and surprising (Morgana sacrificing Morgause at the altar? did not see that one coming) with an evil clifhanger and everything. A++ show, A++.
The promo for the upcoming episodes makes me really excited for the rest of the series, but the Arthur/Gwen stuff looks absolutely heartbreaking. Ugh, Lancelot, don't kiss someone elses girlfriend! Especially when that someone is kind your boss.
And I like the updated opening credits - they're still very pretty.
