Jack was ready. He'd been waiting, sort of idling around his desk for a while then. He'd told Ianto that he was planning on heading over to the Enterprise, not to wait up for him, to which he received a nod and a kiss goodnight before the other man was out of the Hub towards his car. Jack was never sure whether Ianto really didn't mind that he had to share as well, or whether he was putting up a front so that Jack himself wouldn't worry about it for some reason. He'd have to ask Sulu, he figured if Ianto would've spoken to anyone about it, it would've been him.

Later though. Now he was going to go spend some time with Scotty. Sending out a quick message in return, Jack stood where he was in place, waiting for the other man to beam him up, stepping off the pad with a smile once he did. "Hey, you," he said, with a smile.

The beaming procedure went without a hitch - as usual - and Scotty gave Jack a grin in return and a little wave in greeting. "Hey." It was good to see Jack again - even if Scotty had spent a lot of time with him while hanging out in his quarters waiting for his arm to heal up properly. After all, he'd been completely out of it for most of that. "Been doin' alright?"

Jack's smile broadened at the little wave of greeting. "I should be asking you the same thing," he said, stepping forward to stand in front of the other man, sticking his hands in his pockets and rocking on his heels. "You're the one that was out for about a week on medical leave, after all." He shrugged a little in answering the question though. "I've been alright, though. Relatively quiet on the Rift front and all. Though if I get an alert on this," he said, motioning to his wristrap, "I'm supposed to be the one monitoring it, so I'd kinda need to go back asap."

"Shouldn't be a problem. Just. Y'know. Let me know, an' I'll get you back up here." He just hoped nothing major came up. Maybe it was a little selfish of him, but the last thing he wanted was the time he got to spend with Jack getting cut short. After a moment of consideration, even though Jack had stuck his hands in his pockets, Scotty held a hand out to him. "I was thinkin', though. If we have the time for it, would you. Would you want a bit of a tour of the engine room?"
