I'm at the Welcome Center right now. There's a very large man with a very thick accent plying me with some very messy-looking sandwiches. No injuries to speak of, aside from the wings, which I take it we all have? And no hypothermia, although it seems like it might've been a goal of whomever dumped me here.

It is unfortunate, but the wings are an unavoidable component. You will find that external communication is not possible at this time but perhaps with your presence, that will change.
