I think it's safe to say that no matter how enlightened the universe, there will always be a few of the male persuasion who seem to think that females exist to look pretty for them.

Hope you enjoyed the show.

It was a fun outing, we should do it again sometime.

silly men, she really is fine without it, spock is more evolved than you, +voice, hailing frequencies open

I wouldn't say that's all they exist for--but hey, it's definitely a plus.

We don't exist for you, at all.

Yeah? I always thought men and women were sorta a matched set, y'know? I mean, that ain't all there is to anybody, but I'd say it's definitely part of it. Not much point in having two sexes otherwise, really.

Not even at a biological or chromosomal level do all humans fall into a neat male-female binary. And that's just humans. Doesn't even take into account the many, many sentient species that have evolved differently.

I hope there was some major slap-action.

[Buffy sounds slightly amused--she had opted out of the hot spring excursion.]

Oh, it got rowdier than that. I suspect that's what happens when you get a bunch of women together who know how to use magic and other skills to take care of themselves.

[Uhura is juuuuust as amused. Frankly she found the whole thing hilarious.]

You'll have to come along next time, it was very relaxing.

Even with all the--uhm--rowdiness?

Sometimes rowdiness is relaxing.

Given the theory of infinite universes. Well, I've always been an optimistic sort of person.

I don't believe women exist for such a reason as they're simply objects of beauty, I care more so for their intellect and emotions.

That's a good mindset to have. I'm sure the ladies love you.

[There's a faint laugh.]

I was admired by many women, in all honesty. I suppose when a man grows up with more women in the household, he tends to find himself more in-tuned with them than men.

[Sorry man, she's laughing at your presumption. Nothing wrong with a healthy ego!]

Buffy has told me about you. I'm Uhura; one of her housemates.
