I have to say that I love the way you took actual Pararescuers events and incorporated them into Shepherds life. They are an exceptional men to go into any environment or circumstance for rescues. Well done.

I agree with you 100%. The men of Pararescue are exceptional heroes and deserve to be showcased as they truly are. I try to honor our soldiers, airmen and sailors by referencing actual accomplishments and even defeats, because not only do they deserve kudos when things go right, but they deserve support when things go wrong. I'm glad you recognized the event described in this part, they do deserve to be remembered. Of course Shep's part in these real life events is fictional, but anytime I can manage it I'll lend him and his teammates a specific "memorable event" that actually took place. Thank you for commenting, I really wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in John's backstory. I'll be jumping ahead in each chapter so as not to dwell too much in one spot, but to simply spotlight the "character building" events in his life. I love stories on Sheppard's military background and this is obviously very well-researched. The AU approach with John as a mustang is interesting. Can't wait to see where you are going with this. I think its been mentioned John went to Stanford and he has to have a masters at least to have been a major. Are you going to show any of that? Or the interactions with his family that led to him joining the Air Force? By the way I love all your John/Teyla fics. They are very well-written with imaginative plots. I wish there was more good John/Teyla fic out there. Seems odd that there isn't since the show writers seem to hint pretty strongly that they will be a canon pairing.
