Oi! I'm not sure what it is about the transporter console that makes ensigns want to touch it. She's not a bloody siren, she's just a damned console. I'll figure somethin' out.

And if anyone heard about that little watermelon fiasco, don't worry. I cleaned her up. Though I was actually lookin' forward to eating that.

I'm pretty sure all those ensigns are just attracted to shiny buttons and lights of the console.

Have you tried putting up "Don't Touch" sign on it?

Eh, that might be true. I can't remember being attracted to shiny buttons, myself, but sounds plausible.

As for any signs, if I put one up, it ain't going to be as nice as 'Don't Touch.'

You're lucky then. The allure of shiny buttons often gets people in trouble...just like those ensigns.

Just out of curiosity, what exactly would those signs say?

Wouldn't be proper to repeat 'em to a lady.

Ah, yes. Did I frighten him? I can't imagine why.

I'd hate to have scared him. I was rather impressed. He managed to get three targets into one sort of mass of watermelon pulp. It wasn't pretty. I'm still not sure how he did it.

If there's a fruit shortage on the ship, now I know who to hold responsible.

Well, at least it was a learning experience.

They'll learn, lad, they'll learn.

At least it wasn't a beagle...

The sooner the better.

You can't fault them wanting to get a bit hands-on, really. She's a beautiful ship.

Tell that to Admiral Archer and the six months I spent on that frostbitten wasteland.

That she is. Then again, I'm not sure the queen - long may she live - wants her subjects touchin' her crown.

Well, perhaps next time we find a less desire beagle when we try transporting them across light years of space.

Not all ensigns are bad... besides the fact I work in the transport room occasionally

Not all, but most.

You at least know when not to mess with the parameters.
