Yes, usually. My mother needed surgery to remove her's. But my mother hasn't had a uterus in 8 years, and never had endometriosis. Unless there was something her asshole doctor didn't tell her.
Overall, I'm very scared for my reproductive future. I know I'm "built" a lot like her, and hadn't realized until recently that endemetriosis doesn't develop until mid-reproductive years, like now. I thought I was in the clear. (My aunt had it - probably part of the reason she committed suicide, never being able to have children). Anyway. I was being ironic in my statement.
