Are you lusting for results, again? ;)

Y'know, the simpler the experiment is, the easier it becomes to forget that one all-important ingredient... ; D Not sure why I was lusting so bad for that, of all things. I've even gone to extreme measures like trying to astrally project around to the other side of the card: ridiculous!
Thanks for the reminder! : D I'll take 'er easy and just keep at it.

Ah, what would we do without the Rabbi?? : D
I preordered the new book: only about another two weeks until it shows up...
It's got a very un-Lon Milo-esque cover, which is kind of cool and unusual. Maybe some people who would've shyed away from the angelic creature with the antlers on the cover of "Angels, Demons & Gods..." will pick it up and get to enjoy our wonderful world at least a little bit...
It's pretty nice; meditating, performing magickal rituals, drinking orange juice, enjoying the company of large limbed ladies, combing the depths of our psyches, aspiring to better things. Ah, there's always so much more one could Do.
I love my religion. : D

A technique that I have used to hone my clairvoyance abilities is starting with a regular playing deck. Start out simple by focusing on red or black, then work up to suits and high or low cards, then work on 'seeing' the exact card. There is alot of symbolism that is found in many of the tarot cards where it makes it difficult to accurately track the successes. If you want to just use the tarot cards, then track what had made you want to 'guess' that card as you may be finding that some of your incorrects are 'correct hits'. Also track whether your 'hits' are major or minor arcanas, the minors can be tricky. There is a lot of information contained by each card and can be overwhelming for people starting or out of practice. A standard success rate to shoot for is 60%. The more that you work with it, the higher the success rate. Plus during the practices, once you get a series of successes, alternate your decks that you use to help eliminate subconcious signals that can alter the results.

Hope this helps.

I should say so!
You're always a great help. : D
Excellent: I can see where eventually it could get to the point where one could recognize subtle bends where the cards had been shuffled, a discoloraton here and there...
I should probably keep an eye out for the planetary and zodiac attributions of the minor arcana, too, eh? Two seemingly otherwise unrelated cards may be intertwined.
Or related in some way, at least.
Playing cards are a good tip: one would start with 50/50 odds... Not bad!
Well, I feel reinvigorated. I'm going to have a go at it! And some coffee. : D Take care, sis!

Ah yes... I did this for a couple hours a day for several weeks a few years back. I never got any good at it... but I like to think of it in an Edison/lightbulb fashion: I now know many ways how not to be clairvoyant.

It does seem to me to be one of those reverse polarity things... To be able to do it effectively you have to be trying not to do it. One of the things I like about the OTO is that it seems to me that there is a certain "knack" for a lot of the things we do; so it's only natural to get several points of view on it... Get enough people coming around and somebody's bound to have taken to something that one hasn't quite grasped yet, y'know...
Fortunately, Crowley left us plenty of room to explore!!! This could take a while... : D
