I like that it gets right to the point. No bullshit and no 'ren-faire' wizardry. Plus it is chockful of Lon's humor, which I always welcome.
You ARE, in fact, the Oracle and if you know the question, the answer is everywhere and in everything.
Granted I just started it last night and I'm at the 'Domino' Chapter, but this little book has surprised the hell out of me. I thought it would be just a little contractual-obligation-throwaway book. I was so wrong.

Yep, it might've seemed like a "live album" when you saw the friendly looking cover, but it's really not: Real occultism mixed with a hearty dose of humor, just like we've come to expect. The dominoes work perty well, near as I can tell. : D I've constructed my own Mark Twain Oracle, which I'll be putting in the ol' knapsack for my upcoming weekend expedition... I have mixed emotions as to whether it's a real system of divination or a hilarious party game, but we tried it out tonight on Chris with some (naturally) startling results. Nobody's asked it yet about a triple murder/suicide or anything yet, so Lon's test seems more valid and strenuous than anything I can put it through! I bet he was sweating grenades for a few seconds there... I really liked the chapter on the Pendulum, too... Anytime Lon starts talking wands I'm pulling up a chair by the hearth-side. It seems pretty portable, too. It's a little book! I love tiny tomes that pack a punch; but I am a Thelemite, after all. ; D

"Shucks! Witches ain't got no power in the daytime!!" Something like that... ;D Yeah, me too, but I was just having way too much fun as it was. : D Thanks for kickin' it! : - D I'll make sure to keep my cards stowed in the ol' backpack for my next northern excursion :- 0

My fav:
"Witches have no power in the daytime." or something like that.
