Summer wrap-up and Fall season

I wanted to finish watching summer series before starting the autumn ones, but as always I ended up watching something completely different. I get distracted too easily T_T

Here's a very subjective ranking of the series that finished airing last season:

  1. Steins;Gate - so slow at the beginning that I wanted to drop it. Turned out to be one of the most engaging series I watched this year.
  2. Ikoku Meiro no Croisée - very good slice of life with likeable characters and interesing setting. Especially liked how it focused on the  differences between Japanese and French culture.
  3. Kamisama no Memochou - good script and varied cast of characters; strong ending.
  4. Dantalian no Shoka - I have a soft spot for good episodic series and DnS is surely one of them.
  5. Ao no Exorcist - well-adapted manga with a ridiculous (and bad) original ending.
  6. Blade - cheesy but has surprisingly well fleshed out characters.
  7. Blood-C - unforgettably bad.

Fall season doesn't seem to be as interesting as the Summer one. There are only two new shows that really caught my attention (I still haven't watched Persona and Mirai Nikki though).

Watching for sure:

  1. Fate/Zero - oh wow, I sure wasn't expecting this (especially after Fate/Stay Night). That was the best first episode of this season.
  2. Chihayafuru - first two episodes serve as a really nice introduction into this series' world. I just hope the drama doesn't get too cheesy.
  3. Mawaru Penguindrum
  4. Nurarihyon no Mago: Sennen Makyou
  5. SKET Dance

Might continue watching:

  1. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai - tries too much to be moe, but still enjoyable.
  2. Guilty Crown - nice visuals with a "been there, seen that"-type of plot.
  3. Kimi to Boku. - cute boys doing nothing, meh.
  4. Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai! - it started out good, but ecchi is still ecchi.
  5. Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle - with such a ridiculous premise I won't be surprised if the God's Puzzle turns out to be tic-tac-toe.
  6. UN-GO - judging from the first episode this series might have as much to do with mysteries as Phi Brain has to do with puzzles.
