Sept 7
Dear Professor Tonks,
I humbly request that you repeal your decision on forbidding Blaise Zabini from competing in the Swedish Broom Races. I know you must be asking yourself why Luca Moonstone of all people would be asking for charity on behalf of of Blaise Zabini at this time.
True he is accusing me of a crime I did not commit, true again I am not fond of him in the least. But this is about something beyond petty arguing.
We live in dangerous times, my dear teacher. Times in which we do not know how long we have with those we love, how long we have ourselves. It is at times like this where we should live life to it's fullest, to challenge ourselves beyond measure to see what we are truly capable of.
Blaise Zabini was born to race, he lives it, he breathes it. He is of legal age to do to, and he is more than capable.
One other reason I bring his case to you is simple, I was born from a very large and loving family. Every deed we had was noticed and adored. I feel this was not the case in his family. I feel this may be a way that he is the trying to connect with his mother, to show her what he is capable of.
These things alone, my dear professor, do they not ring true to you?
He will be gone all of one week, it is not so long that he cannot make up his homework assignments. Are the dreams of any of your students worth the price of being stopped in the name of "security". Are you worried of your Voldemort, to my knowledge he has not even touched Sweden, so there is not safety issue there.
Let him run free, enjoy his dream, let him soar and speed like the wind. Let him show the world who he is, let him express himself before the whole world. Let him find a moment of peace and understanding in his home life.
I beg this of you.
Blaise Zabini is by far my least favorite student currently at this schoo, but he deserves to fly like any other. This I will defend with every drop of blood in me.
Sincerely Yours,
Luca Moonstone
