>> CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE EXAMPLE <<

Working out the BASE COST:

- First you need to set up a Googledocs Spreadsheet:

- Put the word "username" in the upper left cell.
- Then click the top of that column (on the letter A).
- Click "View" on the top bar, and a menu pops down. Click "Freeze column > Freeze 1 column".
This means no matter how far right you scroll, the names will stay visible.

- Click the 1 on the left hand sidebar and do the same for the top 'row'.
This is so when you scroll down, you can still see what cell you are writing in.

- Before we forget - click on "Untitled" up at the top and name your spreadsheet!
- Now you write in everyone's Usernames in the frozen left column (A), their Claims in the next column (B) and their Bid Totals in the 3rd (C).
- You don't have to write the dollar sign in on column 3. Select the column (you may as well select the next 3 or 4), in the menu click "Format > Number > Currency (to two decimal places)"

- You can at this point choose to arrange the sheet alphabetically for ease of viewing.
If you want:

- When you're done, drag your mouse and select all the cells containing money in the column 3. In the bottom right corner of your browser window you should see the total of the column, and you can see if it tallies what our raised total was.

Speaking of totals, now's the time to write them in!

- Next you need to divide the auction end total by our raised total this gives us X

- When you have that number (X), go to the 4th column (D). Label it "Adjusted Total" or "Discounted Bid" or something appropriate.

- Select the top cell. Press the Function button on the menu, and click SUM:

This should enter some characters into the cell for you and leave a flashing cursor. Stay with it. Click the cell to the left. It should highlight in a dashed outline and add the selected cell's ID to the open cell:

After the cell ID, do not press spacebar, just write "*X" - X being your discount multiplier:

- Press enter.

- OH CRAP NOW I HAVE TO WRITE THIS IN 30 TIMES?
Nope. :) You should see a tiny blue square at the bottom corner of the selected cell. Drag that downwards for as many cells as you have users:

ADDING SHIPPING COST

- Now our Postage Per Item. This applies to Payment 1 of eBay GAs and Payment 2 of middleman GAs.
You may not have this information yet if you are running a Y!J GA.
In this example I will be adding it to Payment 1 - You can however switch it up and do it later!

In this case, 14 items have been won, and the postage cost is $20 so:

Make a Postage Portion column, and I'm afraid there's no fast way to do this, write in each user's postage portion.

PAYMENT TOTALS WITH PAYPAL FEES

- Now make a 4th header - "Payment 1" and use Format again to make this column a currency.
- Again select the top cell. Press the Function button on the menu, and click SUM.
- It should again drop some characters in for you. This time select your Adjusted Total column (and your Postage Portion column if you have one at this point)

DON'T PRESS ENTER YET, WE'RE NOT DONE!
- With the cursor still flashing, press right once or click the mouse inside the text box so that you are outside the brackets.
- Type your "*" with no space on either side.

For USA users:
Paste in 1.029+0.30

Non-USA user taking payment in dollars:
Paste in 1.039+30

~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Press enter.
- Drag that blue box again. :)
How to SHARE
Go to File and Share..
It should pop up this box:
Click Change...
You can also invite your cohost's gmail account so they can edit when they receive payment.
Now it's up to you about this part, but I tend to leave it so that only the creator can edit.
