Of course it didn't take Beyond long to find out about this habit. It had almost been boring as this place had presented L on a silver plate.
Still, he felt powerless. There was L... right in front of him. But all it did was making life even more complicated than it was before.
Having been in L's body had only added to Beyond's negative feelings. He still didn't really know how to feel about it.
First he had been disgusted, then happy to finally be L. And then he had fallen into despair. L's body or not. He was not L. And that had been proven clearly by the experience. So in the end he had just ended up, hiding all time.
Especially as he really didn't want to find out in who they had turned L. He could live without the pain of that.

Now he had just decided to pretend it didn't happen and go on like he usually would. But he had given up his "Ryuuzaki"-act. Now that he knew L and had been in his body... He knew that the act wasn't bad. But he also knew that it was ridiculous ( ... )

Someone with L's collection of memories would not forget how it felt to be followed, the odd phenomenon of knowing that someone's eyes were fixed on the back of his neck by the way the hairs stood on end. He was being tailed, for sure, and pausing to check a reflective surface confirmed it. There was a deeper shadow in the shadows of an early winter evening, and he couldn't know for certain whether or not it meant him harm.

He didn't think that there was a Distortion going on. It would have been announced.

He thought he saw a flash of white when a street-lamp that had appeared burnt-out flickered.

And Beyond was over here, watching, observing every single of L's movements. It was intriguing to compare it to the way he had imagined L to be like.
Actually B was rather losing himself in thoughts. It didn't effect his level of carefullness much (which wasn't the highest anyway. But also not the lowest), but at the same time it meant that he was doing the whole thing a little like sleepwalking.

Still, he made no movement to talk to L yet.
