Map--Tunnel Entrance and Surrounding Area: Subject to Changes

Okaaaay so my drawing tablet skills aren't GREAT, but the map above details the environs at the tunnel entrance.

Ways to Reach the Ocean

Characters may reach the beach by the tunnel (that squiggly line in red), which is located in the basement of the Ruined Fort. (This ancient ruin has been renovated and fortified against attack, and is a defensive location--please consult the wiki.) The trek from the village to the beach through the tunnel will take a fast-walking character about two and a half days.

According to the guide, characters trying to reach the beach over the rough mountains will need more like five or six days to get to the ocean from the village.

The transporter/teleporter is also located inside the Fort. Transportation is instantaneous, making it a favorite method to get to the beach. It is large enough to transport large items or groups, kind of like a freight elevator versus just a person-mover. Access to the transporter is found in the Barracks, back in the village.

If anyone happens to have a magical musical instrument and asks Link or Sheik to teach them the song, the Requiem of Spirit warp song deposits the character about a five minute walk northwest of the fort. Sheik has placed this stone to mark the warp point.

Structures

Directly across from the Fort are two docks which were created by Toph, an earthbender. One houses two boats--Sokka's and the Brigade's, which was created through alchemy by Ed. The second dock is empty though ostensibly for use by Jack Sparrow.

Cullen House is located to the south of the fort, having been magically transported to the shore by Katie McCoy.

The temple ruins are underwater and are located about as far east as you can go without hitting the barrier. They are also in more or less a direct line from the fort.

Resources

The beach used to be a desert. Therefore it's still not the most hospitable place in Luceti. The closest firewood would probably have to be obtained up in the mountains, from the foothills to the treeline, where scrubby, smaller trees grow. Fresh water is also likely not readily available, so characters would either have to pack it in with them, collect rainwater, or find a mountain spring. Obviously the amenities of the village aren't yet available at the beach, like electricity or replenishing food supplies. Clean and quiet, it is often a refuge of peace for characters who need to get away from village life for a little while. Characters might find the remains of a camping site if they walk south down the beach. consultmybooks used this site and has left a store of campfire wood there.

Maps and Charts

mikangirl, using the Joanna Joyce with Jack Sparrow's blessing, has charted Luceti's ocean with her fine navigational skills. She would be the character to approach for a map or chart of the sea.

Wildlife

If we consider the ocean timeline-wise, enough time has passed since its entry into Luceti for sea grasses to grow (these grass species grow VERY QUICKLY once they get a foothold) in some quieter inlets, forming salt marshes. Salt marsh wildlife would include a variety of wild birds and possibly animals that have ventured down from the mountains, like raccoons and even deer. Aquatic animals living there might include different species of clams, oysters, snails, other shellfish, and fish that might be found in temperate oceans. (Unless the mods go on to say otherwise, I am assuming the ocean is temperate, like the Atlantic or Pacific, and not a tropical sea. The rest of Luceti is not exactly tropical.)

The fish that inhabit the ocean can certainly be left up to players' imaginations: sharks, rays, gamefish, sea turtles, octopi, eels--so many possibilities. The ocean is probably too small for any major ginormous sea monsters to have ventured in--they probably would have been noticed by now, right?--although mods could be asked about that as well.
