At any rate, Bulma was also a curious child, always with a thirst of knowledge, probably an extension of her knack and interest in science and inventions. She would often raid around her house in search of old inventions, projects and whatever she could find to study and learn from them. That's how, one day, she found a crystal ball with two stars inside it in the basement of her house, upon investigating and studying it Bulma discovered that it was called a dragon ball, part of a set of seven signaled by the numbed of stars in them, if reunited the seven dragon balls would summon an all-mighty dragon called Shen-Ron, capable of granting one wish, any wish, to whoever summoned it. Despite having already tons of things and the capacity to obtain more, Bulma decided to set off on an adventure to find the dragon balls, initially with the idea of wishing for a lifetime supply of strawberries -her favorite berry but that she could only have when it was season for them, with this wish she wouldn't have that problem anymore-, though later on

Together, the group infiltrated the castle owned by the person responsible of the attack, a small and comic villain named Pilaf who wanted to dominate the world with the wish granted by the magic balls, fortunately Oolong proved himself useful when he managed to scream his own wish (a set of girl's panties) before Pilaf formulated his wish. Unfortunately the group still was trapped in Pilaf's castle and soon were put in a special cell with a reinforced crystal ceiling and steel walls, to wait for noon the next day, time at which the cell would become a natural oven thanks to the blazing sun and they would all dry up and die. Despite their desperate attempts to get out everything failed and the group started to resign to their fate -one that Bulma hated particularly though she wasn't the only one to dislike death-, eventually, though, Goku was reminded that that night there was a full moon and the kid went on to babble about how a monster got out during those nights and it had killed his grandfather while he had been asleep. how does nadia always do that.fontechMay 1 2011, 04:03:19 UTC
Personality:
Crikey, how does one describe Edward Elric. He's a ridiculous fellow on many, many levels, driven by emotions and a hidden goal he tries to always remain focused on. He's someone who has fallen from grace at a young age and has learned, time and time again, to pick himself back up again. Edward is strong in just about every way that matters.
Being strong comes hand in hand with plenty of faults, though. It doesn't make him particularly generous or polite; on the contrary, he's pretty damn rude and abrasive. It's not that he's looking to be outright cruel, but he doesn't like to mince words, either- and he definitely doesn't pull any punches. If you're being an asshole and making others suffer for it, he will beat you down from your pedestal and rub your face in the dirt until you realize you're doomed. He won't kill people, but he will wound, both physically and mentally, and he will happily humiliate. If someone is in the way between himself and his goal, and he can trick them to get there? You can probably bet it'll
( ... )
Personality Cont'd:That protectiveness comes hand in hand with resolve: he's determined to keep trying and keep searching for a way to fix their bodies no matter what it costs him. He and Al have agreed to do it themselves, rather than involving other people, and that means having the strength to carry one another. It also means he's stubborn. Extremely. Stubborn. When he decides he's going to do something, he's fully committed to making it a reality. There are things he's given up on due to thinking it through and relying on logic- for example, after their failed human transmutation, Edward shifted his goal from reviving his mother to restoring Al's body. On the other hand, if he's certain that his goal can be realized? There's no stopping him. Discouragement is merely a temporary setback; it takes a lot to derail Edward from his goal, and if it does happen, it doesn't take much to set him back on track
( ... )
Edward has family issues. Like. A lot of family issues. He has a lot of resentment for his father, who left their home when he was still young, and because his mother always seemed to be waiting for him, that resentment hasn't faded that much over time. Since his father wasn't able to return during his mother's failing health or even her funeral, Edward decided very early that Hohenheim was ureliable, and refuses to seek the man out or ask for help. In their most recent encounter in Kanama, he looked for Hohenheim in order to get answers, rather than to just visit or see how he's doing. Hearing Hohenheim's story has changed very little of Edward's opinion of him, but his resentment is more of a disgruntled lack of affection by now. He's not as forgiving as Alphonse, however, and he refuses to call Hohenheim his father directly

Tyria || Reserved 2/???kyioMay 1 2011, 04:02:53 UTC
PersonalityAs the Administrator of one of the three Towers left on the world of Ar Ciel, Tyria is an incredibly important person -- viewed as a goddess in one of the other Towers. She is one of three Reyvateil Origins -- a man-made species created to process sounds into energy -- and, unlike the other Reyvateils, is impossible to recreate and therefore considered a sort of gem or treasure of the olden days

Tyria || Reserved 3/???kyioMay 1 2011, 04:04:00 UTC
Adding on to the "take charge" sort of personality she has, Tyria does have a habit of snapping the party into action, or at least leading them in the correct direction and guiding them to the next best move. This is shown throughout the entirety of Phase 4 of the game, in which Tyria not only finally joins the party, but generally takes control of their focuses with her mere presence. This could be seen as obvious, given how important she is to their world, but at one point, she was ready to go off and save the world by herself -- she simply asks the party if they'd like to come with her to do so. She was created to do one thing -- regenerate the all-but-destroyed Ar Ciel, and as spacey as she can act, there's barely a thing anyone can do to distract her from that mission. Aside from Aoto, apparently.Bluntness is another large piece of how Tyria interacts with others. If she doesn't like something, she has no qualms about saying so, even if the person who made that thing is right in front of her. She can come across as almost mean
( ... )
Tyria || Reserved 4/???kyioMay 1 2011, 04:04:53 UTC
In a sense, she could also be considered a "physical distraction". In Ar Tonelico Qoga there is a system known as "Purging", in which the Reyvateil currently in battle will "purge" herself of whatever she's wearing up to three times. I swear it's not nearly as perverted as it sounds. ... I think. Actually, I can't defend that for Finnel or Saki (but there's no nudity, thank god), but this is Tyria, and her "final purge level" is not anywhere near as bad as theirs. Thankfully. Anyway, the sense from this is that the more skin a Reyvateil exposes, the more energy they can absorb/process. So, I suppose you could say aside from the obvious "what on earth is that girl doing" distraction she could "physically" provide, she also has five levels of power: the first, in which she is in her full armor and has a weak attack; the second, in which she is in her full armor but is no longer wearing her helmet and has a mid-level attack; the third, in which she loses most of her armor and has a mid-to-high level attack; the fourth, in which she loses

Personality: an incomplete character essay can be found here ;A;Since the beginning of the series Hermione has been known as an "insufferable know-it-all". And while a lot of the times this may be true, there is so much more to Hermione than what meets the eye. "Greatest Witch of her age" may be what is known of her to the public eye, but there are many other facets to the girls personality: compassion, loyalty, hardwork, opinionated, and through it all... bravery
( ... )
Hermione Granger | Harry Potter 3/??trustintomorrowMay 1 2011, 04:03:43 UTC
Despite her Ravenclaw-esque traits, Hermione's bravery and loyalty is an outstanding thing. Even when she was so terrified of breaking rules and getting expelled, when she was eleven-years-old she still followed her two new best friends into the face of danger and so very many rulebreakings. And this nature continued. In Chamber of Secrets when she knew she was on a list of "Mudbloods in Hogwarts" (basically) by the Heir of Slytherin, she still went to the library and tried her best to find the answer for her friends (which of course got her petrified). Since she became their friend in book one, throughout it all, Hermione has never abandoned Ron and Harry. Sure, for the parts of the books where she and Ron fought with their emotions for one another they spat a lot, she never truly abandoned him either. This loyalty to the boys is shown in everything she does for them, especially when it comes to Harry. After all, in book five, all of Harry's friends were willing to die for him. That's never going to change

Hermione Granger | Harry Potter 4/??trustintomorrowMay 1 2011, 04:05:50 UTC
Strengths: Hermione's most obvious strength is her cleverness. Aside from her clear educational background, her wit is actually an effectient battle strategy. This is most clearly seen in Deathly Hallows when at the Lovegood's house-- with only seconds to think she erases Xeno's memory, hides Ron, and allows the Death Eater's a glimpse of her and Harry before disappearing. While she's being brought before this event, it's certainly a clear look into how Hermione's wit can, ultimately, save the day
