Lucetia; an epithet for Juno meaning "giver of light."

Name: Fuuka Yamagishi ( 山岸 風花 )
Application: Right here.
Date of Birth: December 22nd, 1992
Zodiac: Capricorn ( ♑ )
Height: 152 cm
Blood Type: O
Arcana: The High Priestess
Persona: Lucia/Juno Abilities:

What is a Persona?

In normal language, it is the facade one uses to interact with the world around you-not your true self, but the self you give to others when speaking to them. In the Persona games, it's a monster drawn from mythology that beats shit up. In Persona 3, you first need to shoot yourself in the head to summon it. Fuuka starts out with the Persona Lucia, after Lucy, patron saint of the blind. That's relevant.

You see, while most character's Personas (Personae is the proper plural, but ATLUS chose -s for "stylistic" reasons) are good at hitting enemies with physical attacks or magic, or healing allies, or healing enemies if charmed, Fuuka's Persona can't do any of those things. But she can "see." You know how in Pokemon, fire Pokemon are weak to water and water Pokemon are weak to grass? It's the same in Persona, except without as much logic (yes, I just used the word logic to explain Pokemon). Shadows have strengths, weaknesses, elements they absorb and elements they reflect-as well as hidden HP and SP, and moves that can easily kill you. Fuuka's ability, quite simply, allows her to see all these things in chart form, and report them to the party. She can do the same for her allies, and is just full of helpful advice like "your health is low!" She's like a sports commentator, but more obvious.

Eventually, through Power of Friendship and indirectly through Shinjiro's death (seriously, the guy dies and three people get powerups; he should go into business with that shit), Lucia evolves into Juno, as in the goddess, not the movie. This gets her some new techniques, but the change is mostly decorative. Fun side note: Everyone else's Personas evolved due to their inner angst. Oh Fuuka why do you not fit in.

Lucia/Juno's moves are as follows:

· Full Analysis This takes around three turns / a few minutes to perform. It lets Fuuka/you see an enemy's stats, elemental strengths and weaknesses, HP/SP, name, Arcana, and move-set. In the manga, it is amended to allow Fuuka to see physical weakpoints (the neck, the leg), because that makes slightly more sense. In practical terms, this ability allows Fuuka to get an idea for what kind of physical shape someone is in, how injured they are, and the types of moves they have at their disposal, as well as elemental affiliations. Arcana is mostly irrelevant-in Persona, every Shadow, Persona, and human is affiliated with one of the tarot cards of the major arcana; in settings where this isn't the case, Fuuka will just see a massive ???.

· Support Scan This allows Fuuka to see temporary stat boosts/declines-"his strength is enhanced," "his defense is lowered," etc. Unlike Full Analysis, she can do this automatically, without needing to scan. In practical terms, this would also allow her to sense, for example, blocked powers or adrenaline-based strength boosts.

· Third Eye Absolutely useless here. Basically, in the game, Third Eye is a shortcut-rather than hitting L1 to bring up the scan menu, selecting an enemy will give you an icon indicating whether the move you're considering will work, be blocked, or be reflected, without having to hit L1 first. This only works on enemies that have already been scanned. In Discedo, I guess this is a shortcut, too-a quick-and-dirty and not as accurate/complete version of scan. We'll say.

· Healing Wave What is this I don't even-The Dungeon in Persona 3 is a massive tower. Healing wave recovers 15% of HP every time you climb the stairs to the next floor. While this would be an interesting trick in the apartment building stairwells, we'll instead redefine the move as "every 15-20 minutes, Fuuka can use Healing Wave to recover a small amount of the target's HP." Not enough to fully cure them, unless you have a lot of time to kill, but enough to patch up small cuts and keep you from bleeding to death while you find a real doctor.

· Oracle Hahaha. Oh. Okay. Oracle is Fuuka's one "move"-that is, the only technique she uses in battle that isn't passive/automatic/scan-related. It takes about three turns to prepare, after which Fuuka will "unleash" it on the party. She can use this move once a day, and the effects are completely random: It either heals all your HP, heals all your SP, heals all your HP and SP, cures your status ailments... or reduces your HP and SP to 1, pretty much killing you because she only uses it in battle. Fuuka can't control the effect, and even expresses relief when it doesn't kill you, which is hilarious until it leads to a game over screen. The effects in Discedo are unchanged; however, since numerical value HP/SP doesn't work here, if it "backfires" it will instead make you extremely fatigued/weak/headachey, and make any and all wounds/illness/etc you have twice as bad.

· Escape Route What is this I don't even. Basically, you ask Fuuka, and she teleports you and the party to safety; the lobby of Tartarus. She is also able to do this on her own will-if you choose to leave an unconscious party member behind, going to the next floor without reviving them (you asshole), Fuuka will automatically teleport them to the lobby. She cannot, however, teleport herself or the party around Iwatodai during the Dark Hour-or teleport people away from her. It seems that she can use Escape Route only to bring people to her (she stays in the lobby at all times). So. Yeah. Oh, and she can't do it while you're in battle.
Fuuka also has some abilities without special names, which I'll also describe here because I can!

· Radio Telepathy ...Or so I call it. Fuuka can use a powerful, but limited sort of telepathy to communicate with others. Put simply, she's like a radio. She can transmit her words and thoughts telepathically over long distances, but only one way-she can hear people speaking aloud from the same distance away, but not their thoughts. Functionally, I imagine it works like a radio-she tunes in to a person's "channel" and can listen and send her words out. But it's not mind reading.

· Finding Stuff The bread and butter of Fuuka's powers. She many, many times in the game casts her powers out to find Shadows, from locating bosses in Tartarus to locating people and bosses in Iwatodai. This takes her some time and effort, and she can't be too exact-she can narrow down the area to a neighborhood or mall, but no smaller. She can use this to find people-on October 4th she is able to locate Ken, Shinjiro, and "a member of Strega;" it's easier for her if it's someone she knows, and especially someone with powers. Her range is several miles, but the less she knows a person and less she knows what to look for, the harder a job of it she has. It's worth noting that she was able to attempt to find Aegis before meeting her, telling Mitsuru only that "she needs more information" (to be able to scan for her); at the time, she was told Aegis was a tank, so her powers do extend to non-living beings/things. Presumably they need to give off some 'magical' energy, though, and it wouldn't be easy.

· Sensing Death Fuuka has an extremely strong sixth sense, even without her Persona. Without summoning Juno, she can and has been able to pick up on strong negative presences, powers (Nyx, Erebus), and even concepts-she is somehow able to understand what an Evoker is and how to use it without ever being told (it's not a plot hole-Akihiko starts to explain and she tells him she already 'knows'). In practical terms, she's extremely sensitive to magic, but she isn't so good at intent-if you're using dark magic, she can tell it's dark, but not whether or not you're evil. Or just like dark magic.

· Stating the Obvious Seriously, guys. "One enemy left! Your health is low! Please, be careful! Use Garu skills! Your health is lowwwww!" WE KNOW.

· Shielding This one is a little tricky. The first time Fuuka ever summons Lucia, she is able to completely block and knock away a full moon boss Shadow (which means: a strong one). However, it was only one attack and not a prolonged one. For the sake of limits and rules, Fuuka can use her Persona as a shield/barrier under limited conditions. It will not hold up against very strong or prolonged attacks, and is completely impenetrable on both ends-no firing a gun from inside Juno, for example.
