I'm rather new around here, so I don't know much about this place. Do I understand correctly that the barrier serves another purpose aside from keeping us caged up here?

A distress signal sounds too risky at this point, however. Not only could it be picked up by the Malnosso as you said, but how do we know we can trust anyone else out there who might pick it up?

I do not know. It seems like it is merely to keep us trapped and isolated. However, it is a form of energy I have never seen, so I do not know what it is capable of or whether it has the potential to become dangerous.

You're right, it would be a risk to build a distress signal. I don't want to use one unless the others feel like it is a good idea. If most feel the way you do, I will not activate it, though I might build one anyway just in case the situation changes.

I may be able to do something regarding your second proposal if I dabbled a little bit into it. I worked a bit in making machinery. They were mostly weapons for war, but creating a device to send out a signal isn't something too far off stretch of my abilities.

Unfortunately no, I do not have the proper materials to create anything at the moment. I can only make designs and blue prints for the time being.

I come from a considerably technologically advanced galaxy and have quite a bit of experience when it comes to getting signals through impenetrable barriers. I'd be happy to do all I can to help make this distress signal a success.

Hmmm... not a bad idea, penguin. 's not magic related, but I could be damn good scout. Gettin' around without people noticin' and all that. Should have some way ta signal a failure in the barrier though 'cause I'm not out there checkin' the thing all the time.

I'm working on figuring that out at the moment. There are a few people here who can teleport, and one of them has agreed to check the barrier.
