[Locked Transmission to Residents]

Good evening, everyone. Today is January 19 by the Luceti calendar. Welcome to Luceti, New Feathers.

My name is Albert Silverberg. I am writing through a secure system that is only visible to Luceti residents, so the Malnosso Organization cannot see this entry. As mentioned in the guide, do not use the journals for exchanging sensitive information ( Read more... )

I've been here since October, and it seems the Malnosso haven't done much of anything since then. The amusement park, the portal, the lost time...the Malnosso weren't responsible for any of them, if I recall correctly. So it would seem I still have yet to witness one of these "experiments."

So you're Albert Silverberg? Pleased to make your acquaintance.

Yes, there haven't been any of the obvious experiments since then. As you may recall, the amusement park was a "vacation" for John. The Malnosso scientists released the Hunter during that time. The conflict between the two parties could have resulted in some internal restructuring.

A pleasure.

Yes, I remember; I encountered the Hunter that night. It was not a pleasant experience.

Unfortunately, no run-in with the Hunter has been recorded as pleasant. It has no interest in anything but its hunt.

Nice to know there's actually some sort of organization going on.

Name's Derek. I'll take a look at the info and add my own later.

There isn't much we can do in ways of proper organization, but we do try.

One of the newcomers. Welcome -- be sure not to ask any questions about this material outside of this entry. If you have questions later on, they should be asked in-person.

It's good to see brothers cooperating.

Under the circumstances, it would be foolish not to cooperate.

True, but sometimes it's still hard not to do the foolish thing.

Indeed. Sometimes it can be very difficult. [Especially if you're a Silverberg.]

Mm. So people have been killed during their stay here.

Was this Hunter creature a part of the experiment? Or did it..."get in" of it's own accord?

Both times that the Hunter has been released, it's been intentionally done by the Malnosso. But they withdraw it fairly quickly, which is confusing in itself.

Sounds like they're just playing games.

How many were killed?

As much as scientists play games, I suppose.

Approximately five were killed during its first appearance; another dozen or so were also injured. Very few saw it this past October.

Are you saying...something terrible might happen soon? Since there hasn't been any...experiments?

The trend has been that slow periods in Luceti are related to troubles for the Malnosso. Since there haven't been experiments in quite awhile, we can only presume that they are very preoccupied with matters we cannot see.

Considering the trend -- yes, something terrible might happen once they turn their attention back to us.
