[There is a brief shuffle of papers, and then the image of Albert is projected. He reaches off-screen to adjust something before speaking. Unlike previous reports, he is clearly speaking instead of simply writing through the journals.]Today is February 20, year 3 of this experiment cycle. That is the end of the third week on our calendar here in ( Read more... )

What about the stuff that woman 'not' from the Organization, (Rem I guess), told us about? I mean, she never specifically said it was a secret about the whole recruiting thing that wasn't supposed to be shared.

Correct, she did not mention that it was a secret. But as I have said, ANI and her creator are not known about by the Organization, and by extension the Organization do not know she is supplying us this information. If we speak about it openly on the journals, they will question who told us such a thing.

Oh. I guess she should have been more careful about that, then.

She usually is. She was being especially candid during her last communication, distancing herself from the Organization before talking further.

Is there empirical evidence of this cyclical nature?

Pertaining to which example, Miss Kirijo?

The latter one.

We have many residents here who have been here previously, and others who have disappeared who had been here before -- some of them numerous times. It's more a matter of whether or not they return remembering Luceti and the events that took place here than whether they ever return.

[He's grateful it's spoken-- since he wouldn't have been able to read it]

I thought a kind of cyclical system was in place-- but hadn't talked to anyone who'd been here long enough to confirm it. Thank you for organizing the information like this.

However-- is there a more effective way to communicate to the "New Feathers" what topics should not be discussed over the journals? I know I've mentioned ANI several times myself, without realizing it was an issue.

It doesn't take long to notice the cyclical system, but yes, residents who have been here longer can confirm resurrections and reappearances.

Other than speaking in person? Repeating warnings after each talk with ANI or her creator could be done, though it may prove repetitive.

You should have known about the secrecy, sir, considering you were asking questions last time I reported.

[quirks an eyebrow] Mm. To be honest, I didn't even realize ANI and "the Observer" were the same person until halfway through the conversation.

Considering that for the first month after my arrival, I was also told that the Malnosso had brought us here, it seems that it still takes accurate information a while to circulate-- memos notwithstanding. [he's leaving out the fact that he spends most of the time in the forest not paying attention.....]

ANI's creator is "the Observer," who was given the alias "Rem"; ANI itself is a different entity that reports facts and keeps information for the Observer.

In the most literal of senses, the Malnosso are the ones who brought us here -- into the barrier. But yes, accurate information seems to take awhile to circulate; the town meeting made that clear.

Would you consider it as major as spirit possession or the battle, Ted?

We unfortunately have little about the old man and his intentions other than that, so it may be premature to mention it as a major event.

And, if you were to think about it more, you would realize that the portal was an experiment as well -- just not one specifically from the Organization.

So the Third Party's wings are their weaknesses as well? I'll definitely take that into account when I formulate my strategies.
