Everyone, if I could have your attention --

Whatever you do, play dumb. Don't give out any information, or imply that you have any to give. Those are our captors, and they are only trying to bait you.

And please -- don't discuss anything over the journals in regards to the traitor Malnosso who are assisting us, whether it be written or spoken ( Read more... )

We do not know the answer to that question anway. No answer we give can harm us.

I will play the traitor.

And what, play martyr? Don't be ridiculous.

My home universe has taught me the uses-and dangers-of martyrdom.

And what use could you possibly see for it at this point in time? There is only so far you would be able to carry such a claim.

I'm confused. Weren't they the ones that had kidnapped them? Why are they asking about them?

wise_maiden March 27 2009, 20:43:47 UTC
They're asking about them because they aren't the ones who took them, specifically. If you don't know anything about it, then it's better not to say anything at all.

Oh I see. I thought they had been the ones to do it. Sorry.

Don't worry about it. It's better that not everyone is aware of the details... the less they will be able to exploit you.

I have no idea what's going on here... but I suppose if it is to anger our captors, I'll join your little play.

[[Azula just arrived so, she has no idea that there even were shopkeepers.]]

This isn't a game. It's best not to engage in conversation with them at all, to be honest.

It's rather rude to ignore your captors, don't you think? Well - I'm sure Jacob would understand.

I wasn't exactly referring to Jacob in my statement. Though, if you're a new arrival, then it's likely you don't know the reason for the inquiry. Long story short, they're only looking for information on their traitors, or some form of link they can trace back to them.

Hey, Raine, I'm with you on that one. Not a problem.

What 'bout meeting one or two people in person to talk about it? It'd still be off the record... but I haven't been here long enough to know if we're bein' that closely monitored even away from our journals.

If it is going to be discussed at all, it's best to do so in person. But... briefly. And consider your locations. Or if your journals are nearby.

Got it. Thanks.

How're you holdin' up with the current experiment goin' on?

Reply

wise_maiden March 27 2009, 21:15:26 UTC
You're welcome.

... the experiment doesn't seem to have affected me particularly negatively, so well enough, I suppose. I wish there was a better way to get an accurate idea of how everyone has been affected, as not everyone is able to be precisely reliable in that regard considering the nature of it...

Smart move, Raine.

Not a question, really, but- we need to add the other Malnosso to our New Feathers guide. Is it possible to have a separate guide here, or just move the whole thing to this place instead? That way all the newcomers would know not to mention them on the journal system.

I... second this. I only arrived here this month, and one of the first people I met mentioned something about a guide, though I have not spoken to her again since. My knowledge of the Malnosso is flimsy at best, though by investigating the journal further I managed to find Marc's guide. It would, however, be easier if such knowledge can be stored somewhere easy of access for anyone new to see; not everyone, including myself, is still aware of just how threatening the Malnosso can fully be, and not every new feather wouldhave the luxury to be found by an experienced veteran so that they could be filled in with the proper information immediately.

I've had that in mind, actually, ever since the start of this last cycle.

The main problem that I am seeing with it, is that moving the guide here, or even a specific part of it, would make it difficult to for everyone to link to for reference. It would only raise the Malnosso awareness of this channel existing, if something were linked that they couldn't figure out how to access ... and it would be suspicious if the normal guide was suddenly no longer used.

sweet_shuriken March 27 2009, 20:27:08 UTC
Then can this channel at least host a link that can serve as a mirror to the normal guide? Perhaps it is just me, but this channel is much easier to find and tune in than dig though months-old recordings and entries by others to look for useful links and information.
