Event details are
here. There are two kinds of fruit, about the size of baseballs. The ripened kind is fully round, a bright red, and has a very sweet, almost nectar-and-cinnamon taste to it. The unripened kind is a paler pink and almost white. It has a tangier taste to it and is not as juicy.
The Ripened Fruit causes a person to become more flirtatious and/or affectionate (depending on their maturity). The more you eat, the more of an effect it has in removing inhibitions.
The Unripened Fruit enhances whatever feelings you have for a person. If you like them, now you LOVE THEM. If you love them, you can't get them out of your mind. But if you dislike them, you may find yourself unable to stand them now. This fruit's effects tends to wear off quickly.
[Over night in the central plaza, a single willow tree with pink leaves has grown between the fountain and the location of the old well (now tunnel entrance), growing rapidly in size. Its trunk is massive, enough that its width is easily ten feet. It towers over the shops and its long branches extend all around the plaza, draping over some of the shops, with the leaves creating a kind of wall all around the area. Completely insulated, the area under the branches is warm and in a way, even humid. patches of grass have grown through the stones, becoming thick and soft. The roots of the tree have spread and penetrated the fountain's stonework, causing the water to run all around the plaza in small streams with cool, spring water. Despite it still being the winter, there seems to be a kind of spring excitement in the air.
Isn't this all just sickeningly romantic? Or maybe... a little suspicious? Oh, who cares. After all, look at that delicious fruit hanging from the branches!]
