[Something was wrong. Even before he woke up he could tell. There's a presence in the room, but it isn't the one he expected. His eyes shot open and he looks around. He's not surprised to find that it's still early morning. He's usually up early. This wasn't his room, or his bed though.]

What is this? Where am I? He'll climb out of the bed, and head for the room door, to peer out.]

[Eventually he'll turn to his journal though. His voice slightly concerned, also firm.]

Karai. Where are you? Are you all right?

Father? Sanji, Keiichi, Nick? Anybody else wake up in a strange place?

I'll finish dinner. Lucy, wash up and set the table, please.

[She hears you there, hungry daughter.]

Everyone there was fine, [Mike tells his daughter as she begins setting the table,] though, for some reason Leonardo was there too. Scared Raph right outta his shell. [He laughs. Raph is his brother and he loves him, but you've heard many a lecture on his deplorable nature. "Do your homework or you'll end up like uncle Raph", "Eat all your vegetables or you'll end up like uncle Raph." Uncle Raph is something of your bogeyman, actually.]

He's not scared easily. What happened? [But she's half smiling still, as though expecting the answer to be something of a joke, some tiny thing that caught Raphael off-guard.]

[Mike's demeanor turns oddly serious at this, actually.]

Leonardo... was part of the reason I left the gang, actually. And Raph's... never really forgiven him for it.

[Annnnd the smile's back on.]

And he's certainly never forgiven him for arresting him three times.

[Ami can't help an indulgent smile. It doesn't really matter if they go in to dinner right away immediately.]

Go ahead. [They can wait while Mike tells the story... again.]

[Mike gears up, obviously excited. It's a thrilling tale and a good moral lesson all at once.]

Well, back when we were younger and wilder, before I met your mother, we were out and about, up to good, as usual, when this young beat cop comes around and starts lecturing us on how we're not supposed to be loitering and getting on Raph's case for smoking in public. Well, Raph decided he didn't like that, so he got all up in this cop's face and started yelling back. And the cop (who was Leonardo) just stood there and let him, not moving a muscle or making a face, right up until Raph got worked up enough and jabbed him in the chest.

[Mike breaks off, laughing at the memory. When he can speak again, he goes on:]

Well, it turns out this cop was pretty well trained himself, and he took that finger and flipped Raph over with it, putting him in a choke hold while he called for backup. When I heard that, I tackled him myself and tried to get him to let go of Raph, because I knew Splinter would kill us if he found out we got beat up by a cop.

I don't know, Lucy. It's very important to eat regular meals at the proper times. We should wait.

[They both probably know her way too well not to realize she's teasing her daughter horribly.]
