It's not as if many of the villagers don't know the shame of his alcoholism already, but he doesn't really want to be hounded here, even if the festival is a lot emptier now.]
...
Hello.
[And now he's suddenly uncomfortable. Who is this person? He thinks he can perhaps recall, but doesn't know well enough to venture a guess.]
Reply
Hi. Finest drinks around, er, well for here anyway. What'll be your poison today? [ He'll be leaning one elbow propped up on the table a slight smirk on his lips. ]
I've got nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages. You want it, I can make it.
Reply
Damnit, he really wants that alcohol.]
... [A considering gaze, as he sweeps his eyes over the tables. The mun has absolutely no knowledge of alcohol. Sob. Why does he make his character use things he doesn't know well...]
... Do you have any recommendations?
Reply
[ Except you don't look the type to be into the hard stuff, no offense. He's trying to be nice. But really alcohol is alcohol pretty much all tastes the same. It only depends on what other stuff you throw into it. ]
Reply
I wouldn't be against a taste-testing, if you didn't mind. It isn't as if I'll have any problems affording it.
[Indeed, he's likely to be one of the more freewheeling customers.]
... I appreciate the effort. Even if it's to make a sale.

Haven't seen you around much though. [ Privileged, psh, at least it means money. He gives Robert a once over before continuing with that drink. ] Make a sale, have a few pleased customers, it comes with the job. [ He also enjoys seeing people drunk off their arse. ]

... I don't tend to spend much time in the village, admittedly. At least... not around people. [He avoids them as much as possible; Crowley can probably tell how uncomfortable Robert is even having this conversation.]
So this is your job? A... barista? [Is that the correct term?] It's... likely a thankless job at times, I'd assume. But that's true of most jobs.
Reply
[ Definitely can, but that's well...that's people for you. ] Yeah so what's made that change? You don't look the type to really be into the whole...festivities thing. [ He'll be handing over that finished drink to Robert. ]
At times, yeah, but like you said. What job isn't? Guess if you like it enough you'll keep up with it. Meet some pretty interesting people from it at least.

I'm mostly here to make sure the electrical equipment works. And I took my friend's daughter and my foster brother around awhile...
... Now I suppose I'm just... trying to relax. [If by relax Robert means "drink himself into a stupor".
He takes the drink with a small smile and sips it almost delicately. Manners, held over from years of being raised in a rich family...
It's actually a nice drink. Go figure.]
It seems to be the kind of job that would be... looked down upon. [Robert kind of understands. He disobeyed his entire family to be a teacher, after all.]
Reply
[ He might be starting on the second drink noting that you haven't obviously found it that bad. ] Opinion. All it is really. People can have them, not gonna complain about it, you know? Obviously get customers so it can't be looked down on too much.
[ Oh well you know besides Frederic but he's honestly not too worried about that. ]

And... well, I find that it's certainly helpful... [It helps loosen Robert's inhibitions, makes him less horrible at social things. Well, it makes him think he's less horrible, anyway.]
My family was never particularly supportive of my decision to turn my back on the magitechnological corporations in favour of teaching...
... Though, as the co-owner, I still have some sort of obligation. Hence why I'm here. [If Robert is honest, he kind of likes the fact he has some control over it. But at the same time, it isn't something he really enjoys doing, either. It's a conundrum...]
Reply
Yeah it sure does help, good old liquid courage. [ He'll take a swig of his own drink eyebrow raising at that. ] Family troubles too huh? Know what that's like.
[ Dealing with Frederic, yeah, he knows all about that. ]

I wouldn't suppose you would know anything about being essentially groomed for a job your whole life, would you? [It's blithe, since Robert knows most people can't relate. But it is also a painful topic. He presses a hand to his face a moment, sighing.] My parents were never particularly... enthusiastic about my desire to be a teacher.
And then the Third Party took them. [He shakes his head.]
Reply
Doesn't sound like it matters now. I mean...can't exactly make them enthusiastic about it, can you?
Reply
I never feel like I meet expectations. Especially not my own.
[He sighs a little.] ... No... I don't think I could, even if they were still here to be unenthusiastic.
Reply
You remind me of my brother both way too hard working.
