Infuriating.
His first reaction is to rip out those memories and feelings, crumple them up, and never look at them again. Too bad forgetting the past isn't his forte. It digs into him, permanently.
After dressing and securing his sword (at least he had the sense to still have that), he looks around the room at the remaining possessions he'd brought. There's nothing in which to carry them, so he decides to just leave everything else. His only thought is to get out of here as quickly as possible.
He steps out of his-- no, the room, posture and gait stiff.]

...It's the way it was.
Almost pleading:]
... Mithos...

He frowns harshly, violently pushing all those thoughts away. She's just a filthy, worthless human; he doesn't need her. He doesn't need anyone. Just Martel... Martel is the only family he has, and the only family he needs. Disgust rises inside of him. He could almost retch at the thought. This is her fault.]
Stay away from me.

... I'm sorry...
[Please stop looking at me like that...]

Don't touch me! I don't want you anywhere near me.

I didn't mean for this... but I....
[I loved every moment of being with you and the others. I loved it so much...]
Please, calm down; don't--
[Don't what? Don't leave? Don't hate me? Don't be angry? She's not sure what to say.]
Reply
Don't what? [he unknowingly echoes her thoughts, but contrasting sharply in its malignancy.] I refuse to listen to anything a human has to say.
You are absolutely nothing to me. [Tacked on because he needs to make sure she understands just how much he hates her. Maybe it's part overcompensation right now.]

[What else can she do? She can't turn him away. She couldn't have, even before this shift. So now...
In a lower voice]
I care about you, even if you don't want to listen to me.

[Attempting to regain equilibrium, back to how it should be and will always be. Just push her as far away as possible and put himself in lock-down. It's the only way. The kindness he showed then...is something meant only for Martel or Kaori, the people who understand and accept him - never anyone else, and especially not any humans.]

I'm not!
[desperate now]
Even if it was all fake, it ending hasn't changed anything--I still care!

[His hand lashes out to strike her across the face. He wants nothing more than to pummel her out of existence.]
You humans never do anything but lie!
Reply
I don't--I wouldn't lie to you. Because...
[I can't say it. I have no right to.
Her cheek and lip burns hotly under her hand, but she can't just leave it at that.]
Don't push people away, Mithos. Don't push me away...

Why shouldn't I? You don't understand anything. Nobody does. I don't want anything to do with you, or anyone, so stop trying to convince me otherwise. What a joke! Just leave me alone.
[The final sentence is punctuated with another violent shove, though there's nowhere for her to go with the wall behind her. His unrelenting glare lingers on her for another moment before he stalks off.]

I was... going to make something for you...
[Was. And then the memories flooded back and she realized it was all impossible. He would walk away, storm away... She trembles when she realizes why it seems to hurt that much more, so see him go, to stand in that apartment by herself again-]
I didn't want to be alone...

Shut up.
[The sight of the table, the sound of her voice, the words. They all claw into him, scratching against something, ripping it open. And he hates it.]
Shut up! [In one swift motion, the sword is drawn out and sent slicing through the table. He watches the dishes slide off the uneven surfaces of each half, crashing and clattering to the ground, before whirling around to face Sayo. The sword remains lowered by his side, tip pointing to the ground, but the hateful look he gives her is as frightening as staring down the wrong end of a ( ... )
