Summary: With the event over, people will be waking up in whatever homes they moved into, perhaps next to someone they normally wouldn't.

[The only thing stopping her from bleeding out her throat with screams is the abject terror paralyzing her, forcing her into a fetal position.

How long she has been awake doesn't matter in the face of the emotions consuming her from within, forcing tears to stream down her face without pause. Why did their captors have to return these frayed memories to her? She had been so happy... It was what she wanted most, right? To have her family back... That Human father, the Auria mother she longed to become like, that brother with whom she had shared a womb. That is the only family she could accept.

All the while her hand is seizing a fistful of cloth, maybe it was bedding, maybe it was the clothing one of those imposters wore. What did it matter? She hated them anyway...

And she never wanted to let them go because of that.]

[Later in the morning, as Kaori finds her way back from the place she thought was her home for the past several days, she may run into someone else who's doing just the same.

Except he isn't sure if he wants to return to his own house.

Mithos is brimming with memories and emotions that he doesn't want to exist anymore. They refuse to quiet, no matter how hard he tries to shove them away. Nothing makes sense right now. It's as though his heart has been pulled inside-out and he's trying to force it back to how it should be. Difficult work. Everything accumulates in his heart and leaves its mark, never allowing it to go back to how it was before.

He doesn't want to see or talk to anyone. Maybe not even Martel. His initial thought after leaving Sayo's apartment had been to seek out his sister, to reaffirm what he knew to be the truth and set everything right. ...But he doesn't want to be reminded that for those awful days she had been someone else's sister, and he someone else's brother. [Kaori is very much the same as she wanders about the village, not even paying attention to which way she was walking. She had no intentions of returning to the apartment she shared with Spada and Iria, where those imposters would undoubtedly seek her out and stir up those memories of warmth, of happy days spent with them under the watch of their loving parents. It was too cruel, and too much to deal with at once. The emotions of others realizing the same around her was overwhelming, but of course they couldn't understand what this felt like for her.

So why did Mithos' presence suddenly make her stop and turn toward him? She wanted to be alone... didn't she? Yet even in that time, Mithos had remained her closest friend, someone she trusted. If he was the same in both this life and that one, why shouldn't she seek him out?] Mithos...?

Not at all.[Mithos out of everyone in the village understood how much they had both gained and lost with what the Malnosso had just done to them. That life had been lost to her nearly nine years ago, and there was no way for her to regain it, or the innocence she had back then. But she could at least be there for him now.]
